NCBiR — Szybka Ścieżka
OmniShelf is co-financed by the National Centre for Research and Development. Here's what that project set out to build — and why it matters.
The aim of the project is to develop the OmniShelf system — the world's first interactive augmented reality (AR) channel for fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), allowing:
To open retail shops to digital experiences
To provide customers with a contactless interaction with products to support purchase decisions
To create a digital mechanism for the collection of a "digital shelf charge"
OmniShelf will enable enhanced product information to be delivered to the consumer along with immersive AR experiences from the average smartphone, as well as functional shopping recommendations through filters (e.g. bio, paraben-free). For retail companies, this increases shop appeal and consumer volume and opens up a new source of revenue, while to brands it provides data and enhances product competitiveness with immersive experiences.
